Phenol Formaldehyde BWP grade resin is used for bonding under high pressure and high temperature.
The finished plywood is treated with water-soluble fixed type preservatives under vacuum pressure for protection from wood destroying organism. This treatment is carried out to make the plywood free of borer, insects, termites and fungi. British Standards BS-6566 and BS-1089 are followed during the manufacturing of Burmese gurjan plywood.
